Director Human Resources
Charlie Turner assumed the role of Director of Human Resources at Barrett Hospital & HealthCare in April 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective on fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee engagement. With a diverse background spanning culture improvement, talent acquisition, and HR operations management, Charlie remains focused on making a significant impact on Barrett’s workforce dynamics.
Motivated by the profound impact health care professionals have on their communities, Charlie is committed to supporting the dedicated staff at Barrett, as they continue to provide essential care to community members. Drawing from his previous roles, including a distinguished military career as a retired Infantry Senior Non-Commissioned Officer in the Army, Charlie embodies the principles of servant leadership, prioritizing the well-being and development of his team.
Charlie is equally committed to building upon the organization's existing strengths while introducing innovative strategies to drive positive change. His tenure at critical access hospitals in Wyoming and beyond has equipped him with invaluable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities inherent in the health care sector.
Recognizing the importance of work-life balance, Charlie encourages his colleagues to pursue personal passions and interests outside of work, believing that a well-rounded approach to life enhances both the individual and Barrett as an organization. Charlie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and was an Honor Society Member and consistently achieved placement on both the President’s List and Dean’s List.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Charlie finds solace in creative pursuits such as writing, art, and music. An avid outdoor enthusiast, he cherishes moments spent hiking, camping, and exploring nature with his family. Relocating to Dillon in 2024 has been an exciting new chapter for him, and he looks forward to both immersing himself in the vibrant community and making meaningful connections with his new colleagues and neighbors.
